The Diverter valve (or 3 way valve) is found primarily inside combination boilers and ensures that heated water is diverted to the radiators or the hot water taps. When the Printed Circuit Board detects a need for heat, it relays a signal to the three way valve which, in turn, diverts the hot water to the required area.
