Heatline 3003200034 Ignition Electrode

There are 2 main types of electrodes that are found in most boilers: The Flame Monitoring Electrode (also known as the Flame Sensing Electrode) and the Spark Electrode (also known as the Ignition Electrode). When there is a need to activate the boiler, the PCB relays commands to the Spark Electrode which then uses an electronically generated spark to ignite the fuel inside the burner and begin the combustion process. The Flame Sensing Electrode makes sure that the flame started by the spark electrode is still present inside the burner. This feature is critical as it prevents gas from flooding the burner if the flame has been extinguished.
