The AAV removes air bubbles from within a central heating system, ensuring that this system doesn't display behaviours such as strange noises and increased corrosion. The Automatic Air Vent, as the name suggests, performs its job automatically, without any need for orders from the PCB. There is a float built in to the AAV which matches the water level within the system and provides an ideal way to release air whilst preventing the escape of water. If the level of the water is high, the air discharge hole is blocked by the float, if the water level is low, the holes are no longer blocked and the air can escape.
