This part is located within the Heat exchanger section of the boiler. This Heat Exchanger passes heat between the burner and water within the system. There are two common types of heat exchanger that are found within a boiler: The domestic heat exchanger and the main heat exchanger. Most boilers are equipped with a primary heat exchanger which allows water within the system to be heated. Alternatively, the plate heat exchanger can only be found in combination boilers and allows heat transference between two independent closed systems.
